JETS Team Finishes in Top 25 in the Country

Lake Ridge Academy’s Junior Engineering and Technical Society (JETS) competes each year in the national Test of Engineering Aptitude, Math, and Science (TEAMS+). This year, four 4-person teams from Lake Ridge joined 63 other teams from Ohio and over 600 teams from across the country to participate in the competition, which has three parts: a multiple-choice test, a research essay, and an engineering design-and-build contest. Of the 67 teams in Ohio, Lake Ridge placed three teams in the top 15, including the third-place winner. That team, consisting of James Lin ’22, Tanish Makadia ’22, Megan Yang ’22, and Tyler Young ’22, earned a score that placed them in the top 25 teams in the country, and would have been the top score in all but 6 U.S. states.
